Industry heavyweights Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson (founders of London’s Worship Street Whistling Shop) chose Bacchus to create and implement the public relations strategy for their new subterranean, whisky bar venture, Black Rock in Shoreditch.
Black Rock is an entirely original concept that deconstructs the notion of “bar-as-dispensary”. This has been replaced by a communal experience – centered around an eighteen-foot table, crafted from a single 185-year-old tree, in which flow “live-aged-and-infused” cocktails. On one side there’s ‘Cherry River’ – bourbon and morello with spices – and on the other ‘Table Whisky’, to which a different label is added each week to create a blend.
Black Rock’s strength of concept as well as its stock of over 250 of the most notable whisky brands recently saw them nominated for an award at ‘Tales of the Cocktail’ in New Orleans.
