London’s legendary department store partnered with iconic couture house Dior, to present the ultimate Dior experience, combining French savoir-faire and British charm. As part of a retrospective exhibition highlighting Dior’s triumphs over the years, Harrods launched a world-exclusive pop-up Dior Café for one month only.
The dishes on the menu took inspiration from Christian Dior’s recipe book, published in 1972, La Cuisine Cousu-Main, which was devoted to his passion for exquisite food. The interior was influenced by French salons de thé and Monsieur Dior’s love of eighteenth century décor, with elegant Louis XVI powder grey chairs and framed fashion illustrations on the blue-grey panelled walls. Additionally, the Food Hall at Harrods offered an exclusive, limited-edition range of Dior-branded tea, fairy cakes and cupcake decorating sets, allowing customers to enjoy the exclusive café experience beyond the store.
